Yet again this game is a real let down like the first. The graphics are the main good thing about the game and the game-play has been forgotten.

The controller locks out the keyboard and mouse, way too many cuts scenes and too much dialogue which drags on and on. Combat is pretty awful, it's has a delayed effect and not fast.

The world just doesn't seem big at all, it does look good but that's about it. This game has nothing on Gothic 4 and Risen.

Putting Gothic 4 and Risen in the same sentence is a blasphemy.

Gothic 4 is a mess and the most brillant example of dumbing down a game to the point of being more akin to an interactive demo than a game.

Risen, well... the first two chapter were well done and the proof that Piranha Bytes are a good RPG developers. All the ingredients for a classic masterpiece are there: a beautiful handcrafted world (no random, scaled stuff, Oblivion stlye), deep dialogues and quests that can be resolved in multiple ways (did I say oblivion again? :P), a pretty good story. Too bad for the game finale which is just a click fest. I think the developers either ran out of time or money.

Two Worlds II is a big improvement over the first. The engine is pretty good and fast and there are not as many bugs as its predecessor. It's not a masterpiece but a pretty nice game. Too bad it's quite short and the majority of the sidequests are bland.

I consider myself lucky this year to have three decent RPGs at hand (FO:New Vegas, Divinity 2, Two Worlds II) because the RPG landscape in the recent years has been pretty bleak.

Sorry but TW2 feels more like Tomb Raider than an RPG. They may as well put this on an arcade machine since it would be right at home but would bore people to death with all the dialogue and cut scenes.

Gothic 4 and Risen are just much better(I've only played the demo of Gothic 4)

For SLI users, use nvidia inspector and set the SLI compatibility bit to "0x00400001"

Also, if you want to enable AF, you'll have to disable the POM. When the game starts, open the console (with the ` key) and write: "engine.parallaxonterrain 0"

Thanx! I tried AFR2 en it did gain something, but I'll try this.
To bad we cann't have POM with AF. Maybe the same trick is possible used in Crysis, but I have not the knowledge how to do this.

The combat system in this game is really awful. Equip your character with a shield and look and behold... he will block with his sword. He won't use his shield at all

Played this for 3 hours so far. I'd call it fair.

Worst parts are the UI and HUD, mega consolitus - thankfully some mods help this to barely tolerable.

Voice acting is below average but not worst ever by any means.

Nice graphics in DX10 mode and a few file tweeks to improve draw distance and remove blur crap. World seems kinda empty, not alot of cool things to stumble upon like Oblivion for example.

Combat is fun enough. Stealth kills a nice option.

If not for consolitus, I'd give it a 8/10 but cause of it, it only gets a 6.5/10 from me.

$25 or less purchase only recommended.

Just finished last night. I'd say it's better than the first. Some of the other land's on your map are a little more interesting (not so Africa). I'll give it a $39.00 rating, since sandbox RPG's are getting scarce. 8/10

Just got this yesterday since it was on sale for $25 on D2D, and in comparison to the first Two Worlds, it has better voice acting (just a very little bit) and graphics, but a horrible UI and inventory system. The game play so far is about the same as the original. Completely agree with Destroy's rating. It's about a 6/10 game but that's only based on what I have played so far. It's kind of funny IIRC the original Two Worlds main character was over acting terribly, now this current one is so dull like he is talking half asleep.

I'll have to look for some mods that might help fix the terrible UI and inventory system. I still can't believe they didn't at the very least map "i" to inventory, "m" for map by default or at least make those assignable to something other than the number keys.

I never even bothered leveling my character throughout the entire game! Not one single upgrade. Mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1, mouse 1...woohoo!
I didn't get that one either.
I still think that gothic 2 is the best of any gothic, but I haven't played the first yet though.
