Default 270.41.06 Tearing/Redraw problem with Quadro NVS 120 (aka GeForce Go 7400)

Dell Latitude D820 with nvidia Quadro NVS120 (recognized as an GeForce Go 7400).
Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty) with latest drivers and all updates installed.
Logging in using Classic Desktop without effects (NO Unity and NO Compiz, i.e. 2d only).

I have 5 desktops and when switching from one desktop to another often windows are not redrawn correctly. After slightly moving the the window with the mouse the problem disappears.
Using fullscreen/big windows seems to aggravate the problem.
Attached nvidia-bugreport-log and a screenshot with the problem.
As you can see, switching from desktop 1 with a Firefox window to Desktop 2 with 1 big gVim window and 1 Nautilus window results in the gVim window being corrupted by the 'remains' of the Firefox window from the other desktop.

Thanks for your help.
