I must say they have done changes with regards to the graphics. I love playing it now.

I had fun the entire way up, but the expansion that turned it into an Asian grinder killed it for me.

2 new areas have started to appear on the looking for group tool.

They have reduced the faction grind significantly.....

Therefore there are rumors of expansion pack for movie release.....

People were stating that the game could go F2P but, recent subbing discount etc for 3rd yr anniversary suggest otherwise....

Wow, the graphics have been destroyed.

I thought I'd give it another chance since they got rid of the crazy grinds but everything looks so washed out it's ridiculous. Even worse, the game runs like **** now, even in DX9.

I swear, Funcom is a horrible developer, every time they do something to make their games better they also do something stupid to make you hate it.

I dunno what u are walking about I find the graphics are on par but performance has improved in dx 10.
But, in terms of player feedback and devs listening...u are right..Failcom are horrible at that

I never got an email to play my old account, too bad I would have checked it out again.

I heard they revamped the engine and it's supposed to run better than it used to, not sure what happened on your end.

The graphics have definitely been changed for the worse since this new engine was implemented. Everything now looks like its rendered in fog or like the brightness it tuned way too high washing everything out. The new AA modes are just horrible as well.

I've tried everything I can to get it looking near as good as it did the last time I played, and nothing works.

I am playing DX10 mode with everything maxxed! The lighting (over stauration) can be controlled through gamma and brightness settings. The FXAA does introduce a little bit details lost on textures but for me its ...actualy playable in DX10 mode...runs faster in DX10 than DX 9.

The new lighting and shadow effects are just pucker for me! Still the bet looking MMO for me.

Only if they solved the in game game problemsss

I got an email that my account was activated until may 31, was actually going to try it i downloaded and everything but trying to log in will not work, checked and says account is frozen, I sent an email to support and so far no response. Oh well..was going to give it another shot.

Age of Conan is going free to play

Funcom just announced that their gritty MMO, Age of Conan, will be adopting a hybrid free-to-play business model (meaning there will be an optional subscription and cash shop available, much like LOTRO and DDO). The upcoming update will also add a lot of new content at the same time, including new areas, items, and storylines.
