Default nvidia-settings shortcut to switch configurations

Hello,

I would like to make a shortcut on my (gnome) desktop to quickly switch from one screen to dual and back.

The nvidia-settings manpage shows a --load-config-only option. I was hoping to make two shortcuts that load a config file and then immediately switch. Much like when you press 'apply' in the gui.

But I just can't make it work.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get something like this to work? I would really like it if I didn't have to restart my X server...

Try running "nvidia-settings -a SwitchToDisplays=0"
