Stopped by my local verizon store to check out the Moto x2 and the LG Revolution and those both sucked big time.
I noticed they had the HTC Trophy which launched yesterday and it was my first time getting to play around with Phone 7 since it launched and I have to say it blew me away. It's has an Apple level of smoothness which is my biggest complaint about android. Device reminded a lot of the Droid Incredible as far as size and how it felt in my hand. I'm really REALLY considering picking one up and the fact that it's only $99 after instant savings online seems like a killer deal. I just couldn't believe how much smoother it was than the dual core droid x2... not even close. |

The Mango update will really make this platform on level playing field with others, and may even put it ahead of Android and iOS in terms of integration. I don't know if there will be 500 new features, but its a hell of an os update.

Give MS time and they will be the platform to use. I think they are committed to making it so. I will probably be buying a WM7 phone in a few months. Only thing is apps.

I've got the LG Optimus 7, simply love the speed and the fluid movement from menu to menu.

I want so bad to wait for a 4g phone on Verizon, but come August I am getting a WM7 phone. Unless the mostest awesome phone ever is released before then.

I've been meaning to check out the Win7 phone but haven't seen anyone with one or checked it out at the VZW store (I was there getting the wife's iPhone yesterday and left without checking any new phone out). Win7 looks like a smooth platform but what about the apps? Has Win7 Phone OS matured enough to have a good app database? I think apps are somewhat of a dealbreaker for me.
Let us know if you get one, I'd like to see some impressions. |

It has all the major apps, but many third party apps I would want are missing. When mango is released, and we start seeing MS pushing their platform more and more with a Nokia headset then they will pick up more market share.
Until then there just aren't enough users for developers to get concerned. |

I think W7 mobile is great. Only downside is waiting for this Mango update. If it had all that when it launched, I might have grabbed one. You can't launch in the middle of a smartphone market though and NOT have features every other phone has.
