They haven't said a release date. All the trailers say fall. They're trying to compete with cod

Fall 2011...it will happen. Dice has been working on this game for a very long time, and I'm willing to bet they are further ahead than some of you guys think. I'm hoping we get some good info tomorrow.

Yeah clearly they've been working on this game secretly for a long time. Possibly during the development stages of BC2 at least. And from the looks of the trailers, its friggin sweet. Hopefully it comes out by 2011 so DICE can kick COD's ass, even though thats very unlikely.

Anyway, delays arent always a bad thing. At least we'll be getting a more polished game as the final product instead of having to see gamers bitching about how they've been treated like alpha-testers.

Battlefield 3 coming in October, beta in September

The first-person shooter race just took an interesting turn as Electronic Arts has confirmed a release date for Battlefield 3 that puts it weeks ahead of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and some gamers will get to experience it before the game is released.

Battlefield 3 will hit the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 25, 2011. The beta will arrive some time in September for each platform but no details have been announced yet.

Modern Warfare 3 is due out on November 8 so it will be interesting to see how shooter fans react to the choice of being able to get Battlefield 3 first.

Yes, at the EA pressconferance. Patrik Bach played a singleplayer tank assault mission live (looked amazing ) and that was announced after with a crossplatform beta multiplayer announced for september.
