Yup, this bugs is horrible. If you want an example of how the desktop looks with artifacts, take a look at this:

I created a thread because this usually happens to me after using chromium. It's really annoying and the desktop suddenly freezes.

Also, like you guys, if I try to resize konsole, my desktop freezes.

Hope Nvidia solves this ASAP cuz it's driving me insane.

solved in kde 4.6.3, and nvidia drivers 270.41.19

I'm on 275.09 and KDE 4.6.4 and it's NOT fixed.

Try 275.09.04.
