For MP racing, it's iRacing only for me. Everything else is a waste of time IMO.
But I'll add you later anyway
Yea, apparently they lessened the delay in the latest patch but did nothing about the handling. Juls who made the mod with it's better turn-in said that people used it online to post better laptimes, that's why he removed it. He has no issues with people using it offline though wich i know you do.

I still have the dl link so i'll pm it to you.

I've only tested one car this evening. Hopefully that modified handling will be just as great with other cars! Thanks again for the link sammy
Np buddy , glad you liked it Every car i tried sofar is better and the AI isn't broken either so the Juls guy did good work

Also I had to re-install the default tracks because some of the tracks later on in the game didn't load with the no-bling mod. So I saw the default tracks for the first time and the track objects are way overdone. That's also a neg.

The handling is ok with the mini-mod. However, after a few hours with the GT3 cars I went back to the Works cars to start that series and the game showed its real face again Took me a few laps to get used to that SHIFT-handling again...
Yep, it's still got big issues. It is clearly visible that developers had no time for polishing this game.

Overall it's still best PC Gran Turismo 5 like game or even better. And the ****piet view with high resolution, AF and AA is something that nova days consoles will never have.

I'm glad you're having fun with Shift 2. I was also more into GT Legends, rFactor and GTR back in the days but now I have no time so I play only for fun. And that's what I'm talking about, if you're just want to have fun from driving saloon cars, Shift 2 is good even for people with more apetite than normal gamers.

And your screens... damn they put into shame FM3 and GT5 that have only good graphics in photo mode while Shift 2 have best graphics in gameplay.

I still have DiRT 3 and iRacing is finally going to release the new NW car next week, so I'll be busy with that

Overall SHIFT 2 is a great game, a nice distraction from iRacing. I prefer it over Forza and GT as a car game simply because it's available on the PC and takes advantage of all those PC bonuses. As a racing game, the crappy collision system and the sometimes misbehaving AI are big negatives.
SHIFT 2 is advertised as a racing game but in my opinion it only excels as a car game.

Lol, here's Steve Sutcliffe from autocar.co.uk driving that very same car (the GTR GT-1)
