Default GPL-incompatible module nvidia.ko uses GPL-only symbol 'debug_lockdep_rcu_enabled'

This is with 275.09.07 and 3.0-rc kernel. Full build log is attached.

It's a fedora issue that happens when they turn on the extra debugging for the kernel in rawhide.

This guide will generate a kernel without it.

$ make release
seems to be the only command I didn't run - is that the one that switches the extra debugging off?
