Honestly I don't remember the model of my case; it's about 5 years old but it's pretty big yet light and made out of aluminum. The ventilation is good in the case itself, however being in Phoenix Arizona during the summer the ambient temps are relatively high.

Still though that shouldn't matter too much as I've used stock coolers before in this setup and never had a problem.

Well I just installed this thing (H60) and holy crap, dropped my temps by 20C. We'll see if it stops crashing...

Good deal, if I ever saw my CPU @ 83c I would freak. That's high even if Intel says it's okay.

Well, it didn't stop it from crashing. I'll wait til I get my new SSD tomorrow and see if a fresh install fixes it.

I bet that fixes your issue not to mention you will freak when you see how fast this thing boots. My system with a slow SSD boots so fast I am still amazed.

Well the Vertex 3 is a lot faster but I am a Intel fanboy at the moment.

True I loaded up everything I ever use and I am at 50GB on a 120GB drive so I am just using the SSD only. I am very happy especially with photoshop.

SSD hasn't arrived yet (still early in the day here) but I figured out what was causing the crashing. The memory I have, for whatever reason, detects as 1333mhz. I overrode that by using the overclock setting. While this works fine for memtest, it apparently has some kind of compatibility issue with the motherboard, where something else (I don't know what, I just read about this somewhere that it's not going to work) causes instability.

Apparently to get it to 1600mhz proper, I'm supposed to enable a setting in the UEFI called XMP, and doing so clocks it to 1600mhz, without causing the crashing.

Whatever, it works. Stable at a 4.2ghz overclock for 6 hours so far.

Well my HTPC has 2TB of storage for all of my movies and about 2GB of music. I have all of the stuff I use every day on my SSD, steam, photoshop, Office and so on. If I loaded all of my music and all benchmarking software I guess I could get to 60GB out of 120GB but that is pretty much maxed out.
