Xorg 1.10.2 crashes on startup with GeForce 6800

Hi,

Since a recent upgrade of Xorg from 1.9.5 to 1.10.2, I am unable to start Xorg on a Gentoo system with a GeForce 6800 card and version 270.41.06 of the nvidia drivers.
During the initialization of the nvidia driver, just after the Xorg log file mentions it is 'setting mode "1920x1080"', X segfaults, writing a stack dump to the log.

I will attach both the Xorg.0.log file and nvidia-bug-report.log.gz to this post for your reference.

Again, before the upgrade to Xorg 1.10.2 the driver worked flawlessly.

Does anybody here have any ideas what I can do to fix this?
