Today I found some old hardware in the garage and it still works
Asus Nforce 4 SLI board with AMD 4400+ X2, 2GB DDR. What should I do with it? |

That's going to be one expensive router/NAS to run.
An Athlon X2 uses 90+W. If you plan on running it 24/7, it might be better to just buy new equipment (like an E-350 or Atom). Best use of older equipment like that: upgrade some family or friends. They probably have worse already...
