It's far from optimal though, especially since I'm not using my normal sim setup right now.

Save the file to your My Documents\iRacing\replay folder and navigate to Events->Replays on the iRacing site. There are two tabs "Online Replays" and "Testing Replays". This one will be under "Testing Replays".

That's about the lap time I'm trying to get to. Is that with the car set up as standard?
Trying to work out if the games more about the set up or about getting the laps in to improve your time.
Really wierd playing a game without a map Also ****pit view is a bit alien to me, usually a bonnet cam person. and 360 pad, but don't tell the P.C. fan boys I play on a 360

EDIT.
Just checked out your video, Technically it looks the same lines that I'm taking, your just cleaner and carrying a little more speed. My breaking and lifting look to be the same or very similar to what your doing. So that's a good start Just need more practice.

Yeah I was switching between F3 and F1 last night, trying to keep an eye on times and gaps.
Thank for the tip on set ups and the need to start early

I've had both the G25 and the G27 and i PREFER playing with a keyboard so why should i use a steering wheel when i don't feel like it ?

Wow can't remember the last time I played a racing game with a keyboard!
I know it supports the 360 pad, Which IMHO is probably the best pad out there.

I never really liked pads....

As for steering wheels i always had somewhat fast cars and i just don't get the same feeling so yes i'd rather stick with the good old keyboard...

If a person is better with a keyboard vs. the G25 or G27 then by all means use that option. Can I have your G27 pls

The sounds of that car are very realistic. Worth every penny.

As much as I like the Grand National car, I think I am going to approach this sim from the ground up.

It seems that every day I am knocking a second off my lap times at LimeRock in my MX-5. By this weekend I might be confident enough to get into a race. So far its all been time trials. I have done some time trials also with the Legends car, but not sure if I can compete there or not.

The only practice session laps i've taken so far were with the street stock car at Thompson and that was pretty much a disaster.
