hi i have been trying to install the nvidia drivers on my fedora core

The configuration is correct, it has nothing to do with that. The nVidia kernel module fails to load, so try to deal with that before you even mess with X. The module likely compiled for the wrong kernel, or you have AGPgart compiled into your kernel (not a module), or your motherboard chipset just didn't like it.. maybe.
![]() Check the output of the dmesg command for AGP related errors, or the nVidia kernel module, insert the module by hand and take note of the error given. modprobe nvidia If the module inserts without an error, then you can go ahead and mess with X. When compiling the module for Fedora, you should be using the following shell command before running the installer, or compiling the module or RPM file. export CC=gcc32 |
