Yeah it's not the greatest graphics in a game but I really like the art style. The story is fun, nothing really new or surprising but good enough to keep you moving through it with out being a bore. I think I am near the end but the game is longer than I expected. I got my money's worth with this game.

I'm sure you noticed but doesn't it seem as everyone in that world is on crack? They can't stand still. They move their arms around weirdly when you talk to them.

I did lolz at Saftey Adam

Just finished it and I liked it a lot. I do have some things that bothered me about the game, but after spending 39 hours playing it, it was worth every cent . Highly recommended.

minor spoilers

The biggest thing that bothered me was the energy bar thing. I really did not like it at all. The recharge aug only works on partially filled batteries and since all your take down moves eat one full battery with the exception of the last one, it was just wasted praxis points to have put anything more than the first level for recharge. Then you need to eat energy bars, to fill up the empty batteries, but you can't buy them anywhere you have to find them as you go, and I was searching everywhere and hacking all the doors I could to find them, and I still think they were way to scarce. The only food you could buy to recharge was from LIMB clinics but they eat up 4 slots in your inventory and do not stack .

Also the boss battles were something I wish they did better. First was the fact that there is no other way to beat them but to kill them. Makes it a bit weird if you have been trying to play your way without killing. Then the boss battles were progressively getting harder, till the very last one, that was just so easy. I figured after she plugged herself into the machine, something really difficult was going to pop out but nothing really did. Just a single small robot, and if you got your electrical/emp shielding aug, the last battle was just not challenging at all.

Yeah thats the biggest complaint I hear from most people, me too.

I don't think anything other than the in-game AA options work with this game. I've tried several different AA options in inspector to no avail, and I've tried a few different compatibility flags; but nothing seems to work. There was a compatibility flag for the beta that allowed you to change AA in inspector in DX9, but it doesn't work with the retail game.

You used the energy bars? I just leveled up my hacking, punching through walls (when I was lazy) and armor. I guess if you wanted to stealth every where you could but you could play this game straight up and it was fun.

Oh so it's not "2 shots and you're dead" through the whole game? I saw everyone talking about stealth and decided against buying it, I'd like to mix stealth and brute force for more variety or I'm afraid I'd get bored.

You've seen how I play - dive in and brawl.

This game is excact opositive of boring. Playing simple shooters like Borderlands, Halo, Call of Duty is boring.

Deus Ex is a great game, after finishing HR, I will re-play the original again.

But can I build the character any way I want, stealth, strength or a mix of the 2? It's just the style of game play I prefer.

At first it is two shots and ur dead yes, Then you get a little more beefy and you learn better tactics. I did all of the second half of the game with blowing away anyone who got in my way. LOL. The best is turning on turrets to kill the enemies for you. They will wipe out a whole warehouse. Get your hacking all the way up and your armor then do what you want after that. You do have to hide behind things and you will die a lot but it isn't bad. I just save often. lol

The game is fantastic. IMO
