Yeah I used them. At first I was thinking that you needed to upgrade the recharge thing to max before it would start to recharge empty batteries but it didn't work that way. That really sucked. My original plan was I wanted to only use take downs all the way through the game, but since each take down eats up one bar and there is no way to recharge them without the energy bars I just couldn't use that method. I ended up killing only a very small number of people, 2x because I was an idiot and held down the "q" button too long and other times cause I just got lazy and turned the turrets and robots loose on the patrolling guards .

If I get around to playing it through again, I hope there is a mod for that energy bar thing. I'd like to go through it with only a stun gun and tranq rifle, and only pick up one weapon on the way for the boss encounters. Though most likely the next time I'd go through and just wipe everyone out.

I did exactly that to get my Pacifist achievement and frankly the game is not only easier, you get a ton more XP that way. Both the stungun and the tranq rifle are insanely powerful. I kept a heavily upgraded machine pistol and frag mines for the bosses which were hilariously easy. There are enough candy bars to keep your energy high enough for the entire game. Just use takedowns when you're at 1 so you aren't "wasting" any. Using takedowns on every enemy would be insanely tedious though.

Just started my 3rd playthrough yesterday, I'm amazed that I'm not sick of this game yet. This time I'm just blasting everything in sight and it's extremely fun. Revolver + shotgun/MP and I'll probably grab a crossbow for long range.

The energy bar thing was really an issue for me cause at least for a while at the beginning I was trying to takedown every one I saw . I was thinking I didn't want to waste time sneaking past them again if I had to go back to get out. I missed the pacifist achievement cause I killed 2 people by accident in the beginning by holding down the button too long. I also got lazy a couple of times and turned the robots and turrets on the guards and I am not sure if that counts towards it.

Oh man the revolver is fantastic at medium distances and closer. That was my main weapon of choice. Then I got the plasma rifle and that thing is just plain silly. The turrets at the end didn't stand a chance.

Didn't even had to take out the turrets at the end (was a stealthy guy and had fully upgraded hack, cloak and batery/energy augs )

Heh, that's what my son is doing. I wanted to go straight forward and blast everything. That is what I love about this game. I love seeing how all you guys played this game. To me that's the value of this game. So many different experiences in one game.

No. The first game is better IMO but this one is very good.

I'm rather upset I was too stupid when I was younger to enjoy the first one

Is it worth going back too?

Yes but the graphics are very much dated.

Kind of funny in this game that the game makers give you the option to skip cutscenes but make you watch their beginning intros every time you play with no options to turn that off. They apparently don't mind you skipping parts of the game itself but do mind you not watching their ads. That's pretty Fcked up. I guess it's corporate ego.

I'm liking the game more as I play it, but I think it should have been all 3rd person to pull the camera back a bit from the ugly textures and embarrassingly awful character models.
