Default Ubuntu 11.04: Resume from suspend: segfault in nvidia_drv.so with Quadro FX 4600 card

Hi, I have Ubuntu 11.04 64Bit running kernel 2.6.38-11-generic x86_64 and an NVidia Quadro FX 4600 card with driver 280.13, installed from the Ubuntu X-Updates PPA (http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates/ubuntu).

As with any older driver versions, I still have problems suspending and resuming my machine. Mostly, the computer "zombies" during suspend, remaining in a state where it is apparently not suspended, but also not alive anymore. I cannot remote login with ssh anymore, the only thing to do is to hard reset via powering off.

Therefore I tried to track down the problem with suspend tests, as described at http://www.mjmwired.net/kernel/Docum...-debugging.txt

I did the following at the virtual console (VT-1) as root:

echo devices >/sys/power/pm_test
echo reboot >/sys/power/disk
echo disk >/sys/power/state

This seemed to work ok, but after the system came back from the suspendtest, I tried to switch to VT-7 (X-session) again. Then the screen went black and the computer was dead.
After powering off again, I can see in the log file this interesting line:

Aug 21 09:51:22 ubuntu-workstation kernel: [ 969.990266] Xorg[1174]: segfault at a4 ip 00007ff4ceaa55de sp 00007fff05fd0ec0 error 4 in nvidia_drv.so[7ff4cea1f000+600000]

Which seems to be the cause of my problems.
Please let me know if you need more info to fix this bug!

See attached logs.
