Glad I didn't buy this one. I'll wait until it's $5 at Christmas.

Finally got the game to fire up and configure properly and so far it's entertaining. I'm only lvl 3 or 4, not sure which lol, and haven't seen anything that sets this apart from any other game, but it isn't bad so far.

Predictable, looks decent, combat is easier than I expected, but still a good time killer. Wish I had waited for a sale, but no regrets really.

EDIT: Is the any way to manually save? I'm getting CTDs now and lose a ton of money and xp...this is getting tiring..

I just don't see anything in this game that interests me. I'm think I'm going to pass on this one.

The game is months behind, nowhere near ready for release and that's the dev build screw up issue aside.

Dev build actually ran great for me. Soon as they "patched" it, i'm getting a strange stuttering and frame rate drops for no reason. So their fixed build is actually worse.

Waste of a VPN unlock. Think i'll wait for another patch or five before playing.

There's no setting for it. I've seen posts about folks editing the config, but I haven't played with any of it yet.

I've got everything maxed though and the motion blur in game is really understated. Almost can't even notice it most of the time.

EDIT: I'll get some screens up when I get home tonight. It's not bad looking, but nothing special either.

I think the game stutters on my 580GTX runs pretty bad and really turns up the fan on the gfx card.

Is it possible to remove that "fog" filter or wtf it is

I have a bunch saved, but they really didn't look good, so I didn't post them. If no one else does I'll post them tonight though.

Sidenote, played a bit longer last night with no problems. I did see another dl or 2 for Dead Island plus a steam patch - doon't know if that ad anything to do with it or not.

Send Techland a message and demand the FOV and motion blur to be configurable:
