Don't bother... The Phenom series is more or less still a direct competitor to a Core 2 Quad that's overclocked. You'll basically get nothing for your upgrade unless you really spend a lot of time doing cpu intensive things (ie NOT gaming) and even then you'd likely only see a real increase moving to an i5 or i7 line and not to the Phenoms.

I respectfully disagree. The Phenom ll are the best value....price vs preformance...period. Sure Intel has the fastest cpu's, but I'm not willing to take out a second mortgage on my house to buy one. The Phenoms are awesome...fast, stable, very overclockable...AND affordable.

Yep, AMD are great if you are on a budget but the i5's are competitively priced now. Not sure why the i7's are so expensive.
