So basically Microsoft have done an Apple like they did on their iphone and iPad. LOL, this just keeps getting better and better.
After supporting the plugin mess and even creating their own media plugins, they drop them all together in the metro UI. ![]() |

It was the right decision when you consider battery life, and security/stability. Plus it will also make the transition to html 5 go so much faster. Which needs to happen.
![]() Silverlight was to be a more secure option to flash for MS, and it is. For protected streams it seems there is still an issue though, and no way to use HTML 5. ![]() |

No, you just sandbox it like Chrome does. Since when has Microsoft been bothered about third party software with security issues? Apple and Microsoft have had more security issues with their own OS and software than Adobe Flash could ever have and as for battery life, meh, at least Android devices have the option to use Flash.

Again commenting without knowing ftw you are talking about makes you look stoopid... Read the linked article and then comment.
You can still view flash/silverlight content, but you can not do it inside metro. You will be dropped into classic dt to do so. Also are you kidding about flash security? The difference between a native exploit and a 3rd party one are gigantic. One you can patch asap the other has to be done by the 3rd party. |

I was on about the metro UI, dropping back to the classic desktop isn't the point, especially if you're on a tablet.
LOL, since when did Microsoft or Apple patch ASAP? They didnt' fix security holes for ages and don't disclose them. Adobe actually ship updates to Flash anyway now days via their update system. |

Who's changing the context of the conversation now to suit their needs? The best you can come up with is to try and take the Linux high ground to defend my view of Microsoft. Funny isn't it because you guys are the ones who started it, not me. Try and learn to have a proper conversation because it's pretty sad to watch you sink to this level.
