I wonder if there is a way to decrease the time it takes for my PC to do a RAID0 status check, that takes 1-2 seconds on my pc.

You would have to go to a software raid and change from RAID in the bios.

i juss have a 60gb ocz vertex 2. put the OS on that sumbitch. got steam and *legally downloaded* movies and music on your standard 640 & 750gb WD blacks.

OCZ Vertex 3 120GB, i7 2600k 4.2ghz

Vertex 3 is OS and Games. In addition, I use an intel x25-m 80GB for apps, and a WD Caviar Black 2TB for everything else.

EDIT: Disabled a couple of startup items I don't use (e.g. office onenote screen clipper)
