Default X "random" crash, ubuntu 10.04.3, nVidia quadro 4000

Hello,

I have a:
- dell precision t7500
- ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS (kernel version 2.6.32-33-server)
- nVidia quadro 4000

I tried to install the drivers proposed directly by ubuntu, or alternatively also the drivers provided by nVidia (275.21, 280.13 and the 285.03 beta) but I have always the same problem:
a "random" crash which appears even when the workstation does nothing...

I have also tried some hours of memory test with the tools provided by the BIOS, but seems OK.

Still, I am able to login via ssh, and I obtain the bug report in attachment (with `startx -- -logverbose 6`, even if "nvidia-bug-report.sh" hanged up...).

Do you have any suggestion please?
Bests

p.s.
As you probably see, there are some warning during the installation process, but at the end everything seems to look fine... except for the crashes!

This is error msg in you logs , Let try this kernel parameter:

[ 122.698852] NVRM: GPU at 0000:03:00.0 has fallen off the bus.
[ 123.091212] irq 24: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)

Thank you sandipt for you suggestion.
I added the boot option "irqpoll", but unfortunately the problem is still there, i.e. (in the bug report in attachment):

[ 837.452174] NVRM: GPU at 0000:03:00.0 has fallen off the bus.
...

but now in the log there is no more the reply concerning the "irqpoll" suggestion.

Another thing I am worried about are errors like:

[33029.381882] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#6 stuck for 61s! [Xorg:1398]

On the web somebody apparently solved the problem upgrading the BIOS (I have revision A08, on the dell web-site they are at the A11), but I think there should be another "less irreversible" solution...
Do you have any other suggestion?
Thank you in advance!
