ok so I went with AsRocks mobo and so far it looking good the only thing is when i press the power button on the case nothing happens only way it turns on is by the power button on the motherboard... am stumped !!! lol

Well... always start with the obvious.
The two headers on your mobo for the pwr button, if you complete the circuit with a paper clip or screw driver will the unit fire up? If so, it's definitely an issue with your power button. Maybe the cable was connected in reverse (negative to pos, pos to negative)? Or the button itself has a bad connection? I'd start there. ![]() |

OK will try that.......even tho the mobo I had before was working fine

are you connected to the right headers?
I've had mobo with misplaced markings, switching power and reset buttons. BTW, for button connections, there is NO polarity...

OK guys so I figured it out I had the right header but pins were position different switch some wires around and am good now thanks all for your reply
