BTW guys, if you haven't figured out the AA options you should only use one or the other.
If you use MSAA then you should disable the post process AA which is FXAA. FXAA + MSAA don't work well together. Makes everything blurry and what not. I recommend to set MSAA to off, and then set Post AA to High. This will give you the best graphical quality for nearly no performance hit at all. |

No, but I didn't arm any stations either. He probably did. I actually don't camp very much and when I do it's only for a few seconds before I move somewhere else. As attacker I don't camp at all.

does anyone know if the evil sniper lens glare also applies to ACOG sites?
i've been iron sighting as recon to get around the stupid glare, but if the acog is glare free then i'll use that. |

drivers don't cause the map to turn into quicksand... the flashing might be nvidia, but the other mechanic problems are game issues that need to be addressed.

That issue is being addressed now. DICE disabled the terrain destruction until final release, which will be fixed . Server side updates are also being rolled out Friday. Come on man, give it time, they only rolled out the beta today for eveyone.

The game is REALLY buggy for a beta that is near completion. Like what the others have said, I doubt they'll get it all sorted out in time for the 25th unless they release some kind of day 1 patch. I occasionally get white flashes on my screen, and there was once i respawned after dying and my screen was in the dark blueish tint that only appears when you're in the menus. I had to press esc to bring up the menu then get back in the game. Plenty of glitches with the terrain and model animations as well, and i cant tell if its lag.
Do any of you guys get a nice performance boost with the beta drivers? I upgraded from catalyst 11.8 to 11.10 preview and my outdoor performance seems significantly better. ![]()

Let's just wait shall we and then you can say I told you so on the 25th. Performance varies for me, I think it's down to the server you're on because I got better performance with MSAA 4x + HBAO in my last game.
On the graphics stuff. I must say I'm not impressed with FXAA and I'd much prefer 16xAA or deferred MSAA. The performance hit is smaller but quality just isn't that good compared to higher MSAA levels. It's this deferred rendering that's killed the AA quality. it makes me wonder if deferred rendering is a DirectX feature for the XBox360 and NVIDIA have now gave game developers FXAA so they can implement AA multiplatform. I'm not sure why DICE supports Post AA and deferred MSAA because it's just confusing to people, we just don't need yet another form of AA along with MLAA, even Crysis 2 supports it's own AA method and it makes the game look blurry as hell FFS ![]() |
