Has there been any feedback on what nVidia drivers are best and/or causing issues?

There are very few games on the horizon right now that say buy me now. Now that Diablo 3 got pushed back, I think skyrim out of all the late 2011 titles is the only one still whispering sweet nothings into my ear (especially after I read the developers say that PC's will get proper high res menus/interface/hud and higher resolution textures than the consoles)

Read a few reviews and seen what a few people have to say about it. Not good, wont be buying...(Never been too keen on ID's work anyway).

I really want to know where the 21GB goes. A lot of these textures are downright insulting, haven't seen them this bad since the PS1 days. Not even kidding, they are that bad.
If the 21GB size is what it takes to get a game running at 60fps on the consoles, then they shouldn't have even bothered releasing this for PC at all. John Romero.... pissing himself with glee!

Negative. I played borderlands into the GROUND. that game was great and didn't take itself too seriously, had full story co-op, scaled well and (we'll see if rage does this) offered great extended playing via lots of DLC.

6 years to make this pile? Man, carmack, make games again, not new tech demos. I know you can...

I am enjoying the game, truth be told, but I just cannot get my head around how doing the textures in this manner is beneficial when the end product looks stupidly worse overall. Sure you get a few pretty canyons to look at but the bulk of the shooting takes place in enclosed spaces that look AWFUL.

After the last few PC games I bought I decided to wait on this one... glad I did, another mess of a port that just solidifies the fact that game developers hate the PC and are intentionally trying to kill it off. Instead of taking advantage of large amounts of ram, 4+ threads and the power house GPUs we have they insult us with **** like this.
I'm glad they have a version of Rage for the Apple iPad they gave away for free that looks half decent. I'm holding onto my $60 until something worthy gets released. BF3 maybe... Batman AC probably... |
