Every game has some low res textures, talk about beating a dead horse though. :dead-horse-fast2:
To be fair, Crysis is more tactic shooter, rather than drilling your way through endless enemies. Warhead was better because you could find more action. There was lots of fun to be found in Crysis rather than just shot enemies, since you can pick just about anything up and throw it.

In the heat of the action, adrenaline and endorphins are bursting through your body like no tommorow, and basically numbs your body to large amounts of pain, your body kicks into survival mode overdrive to try and shield your nerves and mind from the shock that should be occuring. Add that to the fact most rifle rounds pierce and cut nerve endings faster than they can respond, and I won't be the first to tell you that you may not feel a thing for a few moments after taking a 5.56 to your abdomen and thigh... larger calibers and ball ammo pistols, sure, larger surface area of the bullet and more punching force than piercing. Pretty uneventful for the smaller rifle calibers until you realize you've been hit and your mind settles back down to succub to the shock as it allows pain to start flowing back in.
Hmm, grim. And sounds nightmarish. But I don't think id considered nervous systems in their game AI, models

I was merely implying that not everything will "flinch" when hit with a bullet, especially in the action intense moments of combat.

I haven't played much, but so far I like.

World seems more real compared to Borderlands, less re-spawning (so far) compared to Far Cry2. Better quest/"dialog" system compared to Borderlands. World is smaller then Borderlands/FarCry2 which is a good thing since you don't get sick and tired of the same BS the whole time.

Rage is definetly shorter then Borderlands and Far Cry2 but that is a great thing, a game that most people will actually finish, and won't get sick and tired of it after 20-40% progress.

Less weapons then borderlands, again this is great thing. you don't have to sort thought gazillions of the same weapon, just in different colors, and with slight changes, so do i need 20 damage at 1.2 fire rate, or 18 damage at 1.4 fire rate.

short summary, not a perfect game, shorter game, but definetly fun game so far.

Perhaps that other dark shooter with the strangely colored HUD that in fact looked horrible.
I'll start appreciating supposed AAA games when they stop releasing extreme **** console ports.

DNF, Rage and Dead Island, we're on an endless console track. Crysis 2 had visuals to enjoy but again, had to wait for patch to fix that.

Maybe Saints Row 3 will get it right.

Been to the subway yet nekro? Battles start getting crazier there -- good times.

Yeah, I was just about to say that anyone who fawned over E.Y.E and yet dogged out DE:HR needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Seriously, Rage isn't the best looking game ever, but when you tweak the settings it looks leaps and bounds better than that Cybermancy **** and he didn't seem to have a problem playing that, did he?

I did try fov 5 as 85 is what I prefer in most games, but it's so close to the default there's not really a noticeable difference.

I just compared those side by side with the default 80 and you are certainly right. I never bothered even trying because I thought it would be way too much.

I'm setting that before I play tonight - thanks

I would expect a Ferrari to blow the doors off a Golf in every aspect, none of these AAA games even come close to EYEs overall brilliant package. Ok maybe there is one area Rage game is similar to EYE, they both have just as bad bugs and glitches. lol

You seem to be alone in that thought.

Gamerankings:66%
Metacritic:58%

And bugs and glitches do you speak of in Rage? So far the only issues I've seen or heard about have been graphical tweaks to make the game look better, nothing about bugs.

On the other hand E.Y.E is heaped full of "bugs and glitches" and it looks like a HL2 mod, which would put it squarely behind Rage in terms of graphics. Of course HR looked better also, and played better also.

No objective person could look at these three games and come out thinking that those two AAA titles aren't better all around. But you seem to have some anti-establishment, independent fanboy thing going on, so more power to you!
