Other Requirements: Online play requires log-in to Games For Windows – Live

They are probably using the GFWL online SSA key thing as an added protection against piracy. It was also probably too late to change the online stuff without an even longer delay on the PC version.

I think this still is GFWL. I think the online reference just means you have to be online to play. If GFWL was dropped, we would have heard something official. BTW, this game doesn't have multiplayer anyway does it?

This game is getting 10s in reviews. Gonna really be interesting what the PC critics are going to give it when it gets here. At least the ones who post on forums. With all the people posting on forums these days who seem to want to slam every game, I'm now convinced that the place to go to find out if a game is any good is NOT the forums. The complainers are the ones who come to forums to complain. The ones who don't come to forums are the ones who just play and have fun. Forums now for a large part have become just b i t c h zones.

Speaking at the Eurogamer Expo this weekend, Hill told Eurogamer that Rocksteady is careful to pay attention to the individual needs of each platform.

"We're really aware of all the different SKUs," he said. "What's great for us is we have gamers who are real console gamers and gamers who are PC gamers. I guess, generally, I would consider myself more of a console gamer. I do play more of my games on console. But then we have people in the office who are really hardcore PC players, and they will always pull me up and say, we need to sort this out, we need to sort that out."

Hill assured PC gamers that the game will look great when it is eventually released.

"All of the source textures and assets are done at a very very high res and we make them work on all the different SKUs," he said. "People will really love the PC version when it comes out."

As for the delay, Hill added that PC gamers will ultimately be satisfied.

"The wait will definitely be worth it. The PC version has just been pushed back, but it's only by a couple of weeks, so hopefully no-one will be too upset about it. We're working as hard as we can to get it out as soon as we can," he said.

The PC version of Batman: Arkham City is set to release in November. The console versions will hit stores on October 18.
I know its an old article (26 Sep) but a friend just showed it to me. What do you guys think? Every developer has said the same thing, but this one seems a lot more elaborate.

The original Batman looked great so even if the graphics didn't change much from the original I will be really happy. It's an awesome series and I really hope they continue it.

My Batman Arkham Asylum was a slide-show when I was trying to run it last night, then it hit me...I had 8X Supersample on for Transparency Anti-aliasing. Turned it down to 2X and it runs like butter. Arkham City should run about the same.
