sun java desktop( suse 8.2)

Hello.

I can not install nvidiadriver on my sun java desktop ( which is build on a suse 8.2)

I am leaving x.

I have installed the kernelsource.

But it keeps asking me for the kernel-headers.

help!

BTW there is a rule (3rd post from the top) that says "NO LINUX THREADS IN HERE" because there is a linux forum, for linux problems!

But anyway. I don't know anything about Sun Java desktop. However, do you know if it is compatible with X system drivers, if it is not X, or you are "leaving" X?

Here is a more accurate description of what the java desktop system is. It IS a Suse Linux distro that was tweaked and rebranded by Sun Microsystems. I love it. I love linux and I love java, so I thought why the hell not buy the Sun Java Desktop System. It also comes with star office 7. It runs a stock 2.4.19 Suse kernel and Gnome 2.2.

To answer your question the driver does work with the sun java desktop system. I just installed the beta nvidia driver today. The install is the same as a Suse 8.2 install. I installed it on an Area51m. My graphics card = Nvidia FX go5600. No problems here.
