So far, it seems to work well when I briefly used this downloaded driver (I don't use the package ones) my Debian box with this beta driver. I will use it more later today.

Yep, for me this solves the issue as well. (Debian package available in experimental.) Great!

Nice. Yeah, so far so good. However, I noticed my Flash v11 plugin crashes my Iceweasel/Firefox v7.0.1 and SeaMonkey v2.0.14 web browsers. I downgraded back to v10 and no more crashes. I haven't figured out if it is related to the video upgrades. I don't remember having this problem before upgrading NVIDIA driver too. Do you guys have that problem too?

Yup, it looks the new 290 driver fixed this!

Wow, a new bug for us! Sheesh and thanks. I will stick with Flash v10 then until it fixes Flash v11 (didn't see anything special about it anyways). This is crazy!!!

I just wanted to thank the nVidia team and say that nVidia 290.03-1 (Experimental) and Xserver 1.11.1.901-2 (Testing) work well together on Debian, at least, with GNOME-Shell

With 32-bit nVidia driver v290.03? Interesting.

No. All are 64-bit. Sorry for not mentioning that.
