Maybe AMD will do better with the next version as Intel did with their core2 after the P4 fail.

And to think some weeks ago I was disappointed that I had to trash the Asus AM3+ and had to go with a AM3 board to get a usable Phenom II system. At the time I was bummed because it meant no Bulldozer update. Silly me. Looks like the 1100T will be a contender for a while.

yap, especially the chipsets.
AMD was catching up in the CPU parts with their Phenom II but then they really screwed up with bsdozer but in chipsets they still have a lot of work left

Ironically enough I like the current AMD chipsets just fine. I just wish they would put in a good GbE controller so that I don't have to deal with the Realtek stuff in every second board.

The problem with AMD's CPU's it does not turbo very often so comparing is pointless as it is 3.6GHz Vs 4.3GHz. The 4.2GHz is only done in short intervals so makes very little diffrence. This is due to work being carred out on all cores even back ground work for windows. For Bulldozer to turbo the core need to be full idle. Intel Turbo is much more effcient in this case and last far longer.

its a little weird to see opposite results of different websites
like on hardocp in their apples to apples test the cpu is just as fast as intels while in other reviews it lags behind in the same games :s:s http://hardocp.com/article/2011/10/1...mance_review/1 |

All that is missing at this point are the "Bulldozer vs SB hard disk seek time benches" and the "Bulldozer vs SB monitor Grey to Grey response time" tests.

So for me it's the opposite, they finally got a good mobo out and now the CPU's are lagging...
