Yeah but like most trailers, the game won't look as good as that. Rockstar might screw it up with a load of p*ss filter and bloom, which is what they didn't with GTA IV addons.

Based on this trailer I agree that the story doesn't look as good as 4. Central character was far more entertaining.

It looks good, but what did Rockstar do to the game that was originally their idea? Everything that seemed "new" or "better" was already done in 4 from people that did it much better. If you guys even have seen some of the mods for 4, GTA4 already is better looking the 5 thanks to ENB series mods. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, check out "EPM" mod, created by normal everyday people. They made convertibles move their tops up and down.

Funny how rockstar is now copying the "hackers" cause they made the game sooooo much better. It's like double what the game was, they added solar flare, clouds (that look real), much better reflections and lighting. The list goes on and on, oh btw, REAL cars too, and outfits,... I mean, cmon Rockstar, you're this big time company and their upcoming title is already bested by regular folks like you and me.

I hope you don't have to jump through the brain damaging hoops to play the game like you did with 4. And I hope they make the game more "mod" friendly, since they had to copy all the modders to make their game look better.

Is it me, or did the game look similar or have the feel of the Sims??

Modders can make the game a hell of a lot better on the PC where there is extra performance to spare. Good luck getting these same modders to get similar results on consoles. I do agree that the overall art direction could be better, and after playing a bit with the latest ENB, the trailer looked very washed out and brown. ENB looks over the top at times, but it looks far more stunning and more realistic - although at low resolution with low res textures, maybe not.

As for real cars.... do you really expect Rockstar to be able to license the use of real cars? You're not being realistic here. They did a great job with the cars in 4, and it looks like they've done even better here. They've been getting better in that aspect with every release. GTA3 was pretty bland in car differentiation, VC quite a bit better with more distinguishable difference between cars in both performance and look, SA was better again taking many ques from what vehicles people had modded into VC. Same thing with 4, they even added tuned versions of the same cars driving around which I thought was a nice touch.

I doubt vehicle makers will let their vehicles in the game or be associated with such a game. It's a bit like GT never had vehicle damage because the car makers wouldn't allow it, so I heard.

Why would you pay licence fees for real cars, when you can just make your own versions like Rockstar always did?

Yeah, but just you wait, once it's released for computer, there will be mods for it, I guarantee! The community for modding GTA is huge now, since 4 came out. This game will be so much better with real cars, the graphics and everything else will be better.

The only thing I hope they do, is include co-op game play, and make the cars have more settings for tweakage. I can't wait!!!

Seriously? You actually expect car manufacturers to be happy to have their cars be in a game where they are broken into, stolen, carjacked, used to pick up hookers, run down pedestrians, do drive-bis and all that? You're living in a fantasy land...

Because modders technically don't need a license from the car manufacturers to do what they do. Rockstar clearly have to play by the rules, and within the rules, there's no way in hell they'd even bother trying to license the use of actual cars.

Can't wait for this. I love where they took GTA4. As for licensed vehicles. I reckon Rockstar have created their own universe, with their own car manufactures. Most fair recognizable. They don't need Ford, GM, Lamborghini. They have Sultans, Sentinels, the Infernus. If they did go licensed vehicles, then they'd have to go ALL the way and have real life brands for everything, otherwise you're just getting pulled out of the game. I say keep it GTA all the way...
