Graphic Artefacts in WoW

I've been getting strange graphic artefacts in World of Warcraft for the last few nvidia driver versions. I think the last version that didn't have the issue was 270.41.06-0ubuntu1. I've just tried the latest beta 290.03 and still get the problem. The attached screen shot shows the problem. Is this a bug with the driver?
