Default 10bit Quadro and CentOS

Hi there I'm running CentOS 6.0 with a Quadro FX 5800 and HP LP2480zx, these are 10bit capable hardware but I'm not sure how to configure it in Linux. I tried to configue in x-server settings, it says "10bit (experimental)", and the desktop background is gone with some graphic glithes.

Do I just leave all the settings to default or is there a specific way to achieve 10bit? Is it the same with Windows platform, that 10bit window is drawn within 8 bit environment (OS) when 10bit application is launched?

any advice would be appreciated.

8-bit and 10-bit windows are not supported at the same time right now. You have to configure your X screen for either 8-bit or 10-bit mode. Several modern desktop environments don't handle 10-bit mode correctly right now, so you'll often get corrupted or missing graphics. For example, see
