I use them and can't play a FPS without them. Them or my Razer 360 pad.

They extend the stick, so moving your thumb a larger distance corresponds to a shorter movement for the stick. This enhances the precision you can move with because it widens the error within which you can still lock on a player.

Seriously, buy the Razer Onza, it's the best 360 controller, plus it doesn't need batteries.

Pass on the controller. Like most Razor products it will be pretty to look at and exciting at first, but will most likely fail on you at some point or another. Just reading the reviews from sites like Newegg and Amazon should make you think twice about it.
The sticks, on the other hand, are a no brainer...buy them. They work 100% of the time and will help your game. |

My friend custom modded his 360 controller with a longer right stick and heavy duty rubber bands connected to 4 screws surrounding the stick to increase resistance. Long story short, it's great for FPS. I CAN get used to FPS on a gamepad, but I'm never 100% comfortable with it even at times when I haven't had a PC for almost a year. Those clip on things above look great. The extra length really helps with precision from what I've found on my friends modded controller, although maybe the rubber bands also play a large part. I'd still give them a go instead of battling it out with the standard pad. All console pads are designed standard to be ok for all game types but usually great for none, so a clip on-off modification should be perfect!

They work on PS3 and 360 pads too. The ones I got come in a pack with FPS and driving version.

Starting to get used to using a controller, getting more kills instead of firing all over the place lol. I really really wish COD Elite was working properly so I could check my stats. Hopefully they will have things fixed by the weekend. It worked for me for about 5 minutes yesterday, pretty detailed stats.
