The pirates with the modded 360's can enjoy their free MW3 for the next month until MS's annual ban-a-thon.

if I had a modded 360, it would never touch the internet.

yeah that's what I figured, you'd just get a console live ban.

Obviously Origin didn't hurt BF3 too much:

PC players currently online:
MW3: 85,767
BF3: 127,583

I'm venturing a guess that the numbers flip flop when you look at the Xbox numbers?

Absolutely, by a large margin. Of course Origin is a PC only deal so it wouldn't effect console sales.

I just think it was interesting all the backlash against Origin, and talk of lost sales and spyware nonsense meant absolutely nothing in the end. During the first week BF was peaking at nearly 200k people playing at once, MW3 has been about half that at most.

Maybe, but so could Battlefield's. Either way, the BF3 numbers were nearly twice as high on the PC during it's first two days as the MW3 PC numbers are now.

The PC sales of MW3 aren't exactly all that great. The game has sold 9.3 million copies, with 54% 360, 42% PS3, and the remaining 4% split between the PC and Wii.

There is no doubt that MW3 is a console juggernaut, but on the PC it will most likely stay well behind BF3.

I'm thinking that the numbers for MW3 will go up this weekend. I know several guys at my office who either have it but haven't had time or plan on picking it up this weekend just because they haven't had time to even go get it yet.

so much for MW3 benefiting from the Origin deal...lmao, what a turd! I just hope all the people that went to CoD were all the window lickers I've had to endure in BF3 the last 2 weeks.
