I tested with 2 inputs (SD encoded to h264 and HD encoded to h264). In the both cases, it works with this low resolution.

i transcoded with the following lines:

Code:
$ ffmpeg -i test4.avi -s 320x144 -acodec libmp3lame -vcodec libx264 4.mp4
Code:
$ ffmpeg -i test5.mkv -s 320x144 -acodec libmp3lame -ac 2 -vcodec libx264 5.mp4
Do you think it's h264 decoder lacks of memory? I see parameter of nvidia module which allow setting memory like NVreg_InitializeSystemMemoryAllocations:int? Do you have suggestions?

Smile Re: ION/VDPAU/H264 videos: No video playback

ok i found and i'm a little confused, my error is too stupid.

I had not found the option about the amount of memory reserved for graphics card in the bios when i have setup my box and i guess this was not tunable. Now i found it and set it to 512M as recommended here (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/VDPAU), problem is solved!

Thanks to all for your help!
