People bother with it because it works, and has been known to work on previous games in the series, as well as the Fallout games.

Yah I have the game playing without mods or any tweaks, as the tweaks demonstrated no difference in quality. Others see a difference, but I think that's just a placebo effect. I do have FOV set at 85 and SSAO enabled via NV control panel.

There's comparison shots of before and after. So definitely not placebo effect.

So you are pissed off because your pirated copy failed on you? It makes no difference if you "canceled" a "pre-order" as I am sure you will continue to play the pirated version when it works.

I am pissed that now BethSoft requires Steam to run TESV.exe, not only that but performance went to hell. Perhaps I should pirate the game since this update did absolutely nothing for the people who actually bought the damn game, and once again its the pirates who are "winning." Lets not even mention the mods it broke.

Please think, long and hard about what this latest patch did; and than think why this would this affect pirated copies? T H I N K...than post.

I played the game solely by launching TESV.exe, I absolutely loved the fact that I can play this game without Steam DRM. Now that I can't.....

It took some work for me to get the game running again and I had to start a couple of hours back in the game but it's running again

There are some pretty cool places to visit
