There seems to be a lot of texture corruption when running the benchmark. Dx11 allows you to enable tessellation and it does have an affect on the lion statue and poison ivy vines of the benchmark. It also seems to allow the use of HBAO and such. The benchmark FPS counter is not working correctly as the frames seemed much smoother than was reported. The FPS counter seems to get stuck after a few seconds and no longer records the correct fps.

Geez how was this not picked up in testing? Rocksteady must of known of these issues but ran out of time to fix them. Probably had no choice but to release the game, then patch it later. Of course they will deny known of the problem before hand, they have no option but to cover this one up. Oh well once its fixed it should be a pretty epic game. Im dnl it now, not sure if I have to wait till the 25th to unlock?? its weird its not even showing up to buy anymore of NZ/AU regions so not sure what the hecks going on distribution wise, i'm just happy i pre-purchased for $34 before it went up to $99 then disappeared completely.

This year it's been....

Brink - Released in a very very poor state.

Dead Island - Nicknamed Dev Island for a good reason

Rage - No need to say anything about this mess.

BF3 - To an extent it run's pretty well, but STILL it has some nasty issues.

Skyrim - Buggy as expected, when people find a work around themselves with the 4GB memory
patch, Bethesda release an update which prevents it from working. Good job!

Batman Arkham City - No DX11 working, 5 activation DRM Securom limit. May even be Securom to blame for poor performance.

Coming soon.

Assassin's Creed Revelations - Surely they can't get this wrong, it's the same game as Brotherhood with just new textures and story.

I am actually looking forward to the new Xbox now.

1. it's gotten worse
2. the 360 still looks like garbage next to a PC
3. PC games once patch look 400x better than a console
4. they delay PC games purposely to sabotage PC sales... then screw up the port to get the rest on the fence to buy for the console
5. they just can't provide a demo to win sales due to time constraints, they can't even release most games in a finished state now
6. I'm betting most are people that bought a game on the console and now feel they are entitled to a "download" on the PC

very true, the day when I stop gaming on PC will be the day when i stop gaming all together.

Had consoles before

all the old stuff, NES, SNES, Genesis etc...
PSX - stopped using it once i got gaming PC
Xbox - modded it for XBMC, only use it ever saw outside of forza
Xbox 360 - complete POS, used it to play 3 games, sold that **** and would never buy another xbox.

I don't doubt that for a second. Skyrim click it opens the launcher, press play and the bethesda logo comes up in 3 seconds, then at 15 seconds the menu is up and I can press continue to start my game. Batman AC on the other hand opens the launcher then you press play and 20 seconds for the splash screen to come up, on the desktop, then at 1m17secs to get to the first fullscreen logo video, then at 1m42secs the actual press start comes up. That is way too long, and it is almost guaranteed that it is being caused by the DRM checks. IIRC the DRM that was stripped out of Witcher 2 was causing a 30% degradation of performance, I expect the same thing on Batman AC.

played the game yesterday, you don't even have the game for pc, and yet you bitch about it.

better physics in game world (thank you nvidia!) all the small but pronouce physics in world are amazing.
AA
AF
3d vision (not my thing, but it has it)
dx11 tessalation
dx11 HBAA (don't remember the acronym)
option to play with keyboard and mouse
ease of steam, don't have to look for disc

download took, 80-90 minutes(, install took about 5 minutes

But Nekro, you NEVER have issues. Ever. On nearly any game. And you always put the blame on the people having the problem who are looking for help.

I can't WAIT to fire the game up. It's sitting there, all ready to go..... but I have to travel and my PC is too big to take! DAMN IT!

I wasn't complaining about anything, but from what I'm hearing, the PC version has issues and I feel sorry for PC gamers. They once again got the short end of the stick. And just because you don't have problems doesn't mean that others don't either. Have some sympathy?

IMO, none of those features matter to me. I just want to play the game because it's fun. Game looks extremely fun and high in entertainment quality. Looking forward to playing it.
