Sure you are.

I guess it's just a figment of my imagination that even the developers are telling people not to use DX11 until it's patched because it's not working properly?

So either you are having the same issues as everyone else who runs the game in DX11, you have horribly low standards, or you're lying...take your pick.

Brink - Released in a very very poor state.

Dead Island - Nicknamed Dev Island for a good reason

Rage - No need to say anything about this mess.

BF3 - To an extent it run's pretty well, but STILL it has some nasty issues.

Skyrim - Buggy as expected, when people find a work around themselves with the 4GB memory
patch, Bethesda release an update which prevents it from working. Good job!

Batman Arkham City - No DX11 working, 5 activation DRM Securom limit. May even be Securom to blame for poor performance.

Coming soon.

Assassin's Creed Revelations - Surely they can't get this wrong, it's the same game as Brotherhood with just new textures and story.

I am actually looking forward to the new Xbox now.
Brink - Can't comment, didn't buy it because i didn't care

Dead Island - Played it, no real problem, could have been better, Console have a lOT of issue too.. nothing to do with PC gaming

Rage - Problems with ATI drivers and all the other complain are about design, this HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH PC GAMING.

BF3 - Never had a single problem in over 20 hours of gameplay.

Skyrim - Never had a CTD in over 20 hours of gameplay, never needed a 4gb limit patch, buggy but CONSOLE ARE AFFECTED ALSO.

Batman : DX11 is working, but buggy, you're right. Using DX9 and PHYSX the game run great (30FPS+ is great for me)

Next Xbox won't come out after 2014.. .so be prepare to enjoy you're 360 for at least Min 2 more years..

umm, were did you get never from.

1) skyrim sound issue, fixed by decreasing audio quality
2) oblivion purple world fixed by disabling AO
3) civilization, batman aa, bf bc2 etc... fixed by having proper visual c+ redist installed (and not having every single one installed)

you can't deny that number one issue with anything computer related is located between the keyboard and chair.

it can be build related, os config related, running stupid driver cleaners, running registry cleaners, running os speed up tools, tweaks enabling/forcing RAM "saving" in OS, have 4-16GB of RAM USE! having daemon tools installed (that can cause game instability, and even damage optical drives) etc... all the above can later translate into game instability issues, and all are caused by number one issue above.

Your right about Rage, it did have nothing to do with PC gaming. Nothing at all, not even on it's menu. Worst "PC" game ever.

Carmack should retire and take his rubbish out of date and less effective than Direct X , Open GL nonsense with him.

Also didn't care, didn't look even remotly fun

Dead Island - Played it, no real problem, could have been better, Console have a lOT of issue too.. nothing to do with PC gaming
didn't buy it yet, but i played it several time at friends house, great game, with minor design issues, none of the issues pc related.

Rage - Problems with ATI drivers and all the other complain are about design, this HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH PC GAMING.
nvidia card, no issues

BF3 - Never had a single problem in over 20 hours of gameplay.
not looking for MF shooter, can't comment

Skyrim - Never had a CTD in over 20 hours of gameplay, never needed a 4gb limit patch, buggy but CONSOLE ARE AFFECTED ALSO.
all bugs are shared on all platforms, no CTD and PC easiest platform to correct, and with ****load of mods it can be actually fun after a while

Batman : DX11 is working, but buggy, you're right. Using DX9 and PHYSX the game run great (30FPS+ is great for me)
DX11 works for me, gameplay is smooth, and physx is amazing
Next Xbox won't come out after 2014.. .so be prepare to enjoy you're 360 for at least Min 2 more years..
excactly, added comments in bold

Ah, but they can fix that... you can't fix low res textures and sub-30 FPS on a console. besides I'm busy playing the superior BF3 on the PC in the meantime. Not a huge deal, sure the launches are disappointing but nothing will take away my mouse / keys and high res textures.

I know you're always extremely quick to judge a game but are you sure you're not pulling a Sean_W here?
Or is there just something in the air over the UK that causes gamers to complain about everything?
Use a VPN to unlock it early. Some good freebies out there.

The reason PC features are broken on launch more often than not, is simply because people don't complain enough.

I should have got this for the PS3 or Xbox and be done with it.

In the New Year i'm going to start stripping my rig down and sell off parts, just keep a functional PC for day to day use and the odd game which actually works in the Steam sales.

I've always been an advocate for pre-ordering, supporting the developers etc but what is the point?

Here's another good bit of info.

Build name: QA_APPROVED_BUILD_JANUARY_2011
Compiled on: September 27th, 2011 at 18:18.21

The compiling was finished a month before the console version came out.

So they delayed it further for no reason whatsoever. Lying bastardos. Rocksteady couldn't go out of business fast enough.

I wouldn't be half as pissed off if you could get your money back for these rubbish launches, like you should be able to.
