If you understood what I wrote it happens after every game ends and loads the new map. It is not even doing anything at the moment trying to load the map. I do not even hear my hard drive chugging like it is loading, it just sits there and only way to fix it is to alt+tab, kill bf3 with task manager and relaunch it

I asked if maybe more RAM might fix it, taking a shot out in the dark thinking maybe a memory leak, I doubt it that, since it worked fine before patch.

If you have nothing positive contribute why are you here?
Have you tried just waiting? It can take a while to load the maps on my PC. It seems like it's frozen, but it does load the map eventually.

When it happened, one time I waited about 10 minutes actually went out side to bring the dogs out came back, and still on there, so I knew something was up.

I will see what happens tonight after I reinstall BF3 and if that don't work will try latest beta nvidia drivers, and if not then just wait and see if Dice fixes it with next patch.

I was monitoring resources on one of my other monitors one night whilst playing BF3. The ram usage was constantly hovering around the 5Gb limit ang sometimes went over 6Gb. It is a hardware hog, that's for sure. Still it is my favorite game ATM.

my sisters husband has a problem with BF3 and a GA GTX560ti BF3 freezes and he has tried to flash the bios but it won´t actually flash it even if easy boost gives a "ok" it still is the original bios.
so has anyone here had these issues and solved them?

Was going through some files and found a 'pbsssbtr' folder in my C drive. Had literally, hundreds, of screenshots from BF3. Is Origin doing this?

Well I came home reinstall BF3, played about 5 or 6 maps, and not once did it freeze when it was changing maps.

I probably just jinxed myself, but looking good so far, I have a feeling something did not get installed or patched right with that 4 GB patch somewhere.

What does your system use for memory at idle? I haven't seen mine go over 4GB while playing.
