Default nvidia-settings detect wrong max resolution for external beamer

Hello,

I have an Apple Macbook 13" with Nvidia 320m.
The problem is on some projectors nvidia-settings only shows me 640x480 as max resolution, which is way to low.
If I reboot to windows7 (so no hardware is changed) I get the correct max resolution of 1027x768 (old projector).

The laptop is connected via a mini-displayport -> VGA adapter.
Nvidia-settings uses dynamic TwinView.

Other projectors and external monitors work fine(so no config problem). But some projectors only show me a very low max resolution.

I really have no idea where the problem could be.

nvidia-drivers-290.06
kernel-3.1.1
xorg-server-1.11.2

Please note that the attached nvidia-bug-report.log.gz is without the problemmatic projector connected. If another nvidia-bug-report.log.gz with connected beamer would be helpful please tell me.

Default Re: nvidia-settings detect wrong max resolution for external beamer

new "nvidia-bug-report-withbeamer.log.gz" with projector enabled at max 640x480
Again under windows7 I get max 1024x768.

Could you please give me any hint?
