Bull crap. I thoroughly enjoy HL1, HL1: OF, and HL1: BS. It's great to play at 1600 x 1200 with 8xSSAA. If only I could get it to play at 1920 x 1200. I mean, not many games these days can be enjoyed absolutely and truly free of any and all jaggies.

Which zelda? For me the gameplay of Crysis 2 is better than any Wii Zelda game. The Wii controls really kill it for me. That ruins the gameplay right at the user interface. ::

Agreed, the gameplay really holds up. Right now I'm playing the old Tex Murphy games, and they are software 2.5D (like Duke Nukem 3D, 3D objects, Sprites for enemies etc) they look pretty bad, but the gameplay is fun.

Crysis no matter how good it looked wasnt that much fun so i would say gameplay is most important like in Skyrim not maybe the best looking game even if it looks decent and has huge environments its the insane big gameplay world that it offers.

Both, but if I had to pick one, it would be gameplay.

I played Diablo 2 for years past it's due date. I also played WoW, not known for great graphics but great art direction for 7 years.

Speaking of old games, every now and then I'll fire up some Quake, Doom, or Dark Forces. Absolutely horrid graphics by today's standards but the games are a blast to play.

I just think it's hilarious that everyone has said "Oh gameplay of course!" but then you look at the official game threads and it's 90% tweaks/graphic mods/AA/AF and more graphic crap, then of course a boatload of "console blame".

It's rare IMO that you see very much about how fun the game is or anything like that. Maybe it's just me, but that's alright. I'll agree to disagree. My white flag is up and waving, I don't want to be the broken record around here. Carry on.

It's because we also enjoy to tweak/mod our games. Doesn't mean that is the only thing someone cares about. If you can get better IQ for free why not? There's not much you can discuss gameplay wise without spoiling the story for other people. Pretty much just say if it's good or bad. Graphics on the other hand you can tweak and discuss non stop.

That's the great thing about the PC scene is the community. Be it just the other people on here, or the people making mods for your favorite game. You can't find that on any other platform.
