Come to think of it I believe you're right regarding CrossFire. Think I'll hold off building it for him till the 7-series hard-launch. Want to see if any word of new APUs with 7-series GPUs comes about.

As to the memory you can do 6GB in dual channel- 2x2GB + 2x1GB for a total of 6GB in dual channel.
