Alternative to POS Kies?
Is there some kind of iTunes-like alternative to Kies? This software is terrible and makes me want to have a faster death.

Kies is the best software I've ever used. I open it on my phone, go to site on my laptop. So easy. |

Its an Apollo, I'm just going to use Kies then just transfer using windows.

Seriously, depending what you want to do there might be alternatives to Kies. You can flash with Multiloader (done that and with Kies). You can copy files between PC and phone via Bluetooth. Works even under Linux  . And you can take the micro-SD out of the device, place it in a card reader/writer and copy files this way. Filesystem at least on my GT-S 8500 is FAT32 or something stupid.The only thing that needs Kies is the market place. But I haven't bought anything yet (no farting app or other sillyness  ).

Yes cheap android GT-I5800 , I was using an iPhone 4 but wasn't really "using" it enough to warrant its presence.
I think I can just get some kind of podcast downloader and that'll be enough for me.
