Default Best Blu-ray writer?

What's the best Blu-ray writer? I was eying the Pioneer BDR-206 because I like the plain black look with no white labels or anything.

What's the difference between the BDR-206, BDR-206DBK, and BDR-206MBK?

Pioneer BDR-206DBK and BDR-R206 is the same, no difference, BK just means black

BDR-206M(BK) is the new BDXL burder, it burns the quad and triple layer bd, but it burns normal bds slower.

all 3 of them are excellent, and best burners on the market.

Thanks. Glad I made the right choice.

Just one question: Will this drive be region-free? Will I be able to play any Blu-ray on it?

none of the blu-ray drives are region free and as far as i'm aware there is no firmware for any blu-ray drive to make it region free for blu-ray.

you will need anydvd hd to make it blu-ray region free.

Since I bought this burner from Amazon in the US, will it be locked to American Blu-rays? Secondly, can AnyDVD HD actually play Blu-rays or is it only a ripper?

Lastly, what is the best Blu-ray software to watch Blu-rays?
