The Woz apparently still likes to tinker so Android would appeal to him. Makes sense.

Not once have I had to fix any problems, I even have tethering.

However, I HAVE had to teach 3 people how to use their iphone.

As mentioned already in another thread, if I had to use an Android phone, I'd get the current Google reference device with stock Android. But I'm soo glad I don't have to use Android other than for some private developing projects...

I have an HTC EVO 4G. I have not had a single one of those issues. Maybe they should stay out of the directories (folders for windows users).

I can probably fix 90% of their issues. Tell them to uninstall "Advanced Task Killer". It does more harm than good.

I've had the complete opposite experience. Hundreds of problems, tons of time wasted with rooting/flashing and overall just a PITB.

Everyone I know with an iPhone picks it up and learns naturally with no issues.

I still liken your experience to wondering why your Pentium 2 doesn't run Windows 7...

Haha no no no, I'm just saying his views of Android are based off very old hardware, so it's no wonder it was so sluggish for him.

I had to root and flash new ROMs to get rid of some issues but it was still never real stable; crashed quite often. But the fact that I had to root and flash is silly. Why wasn't it stable right out of the box with no tweaking?

I can't believe all the wasted time I spent with that stupid phone.

I have more customers that bring in their iPhone, iPad, or even iPod with problems than any other smart phone, tablet, or MP3 player. Granted, most of those problems are ID 10T errors, but still.

Well the OG Droid launched with Eclair 2.0. So, it naturally had issues running Froyo (2.2), not to mention that phone hardware has substantially improved over the past 2 years. I really like Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich is even better.

I suggest you tryout a Samsung Galaxy Nexus if you get a chance. I think you'd be quite impressed with it.

A guy at work recently got one, but I couldn't test it out before he rooted it and tried every ROM known to man on it. After messing around on it for a few minutes, it gave good impressions but I still prefer my iPhone.
