Red face Clean RED PC

Hello to all, I have been pretty busy building arcade sticks and working on starting my own business I havent been spending much time talking on here. I am however, building my friend a PC (I am not quite ready to upgrade.) I thought I would share with my fellow NVNews buddies. The plan is a rather simple build, nothing too special. Some great hardware not too overpriced. A clean not flashy, windowed but not tacky look. Dual water loops that dont invade the whole case. Not sure if it was worth making a thread about this build but I did it anyway!!!

Hardware includes but not limited to:
Phantom full tower (RED)
Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3
2500K
MSI Radeon 7970
16GB G.skill DDR3 1600
Antec High Current 750Watt
Corsiar Force GT 120GB SSD

Two loops 1 cpu 1 gpu
EK 7970 waterblock
Swiftech Apogee XT Rev2
Two 120.2 Swiftech Rads
Two Swiftech MCP655 pumps
And lots of other performance pc goodies

I start cutting into the case tomorrow.

Cool

I've always steered clear of water in the past because I've not really been confident about fitting it. So I'll follow this with interest to see how you put things together and how it turns out.

Nice one

Can't wait to see the setup Kasu.

Question, though, why did you choose an i5-2500K instead of an i7-2600K or i7-2700K?

You gotta feed that monstrous GPU.

I thought about getting a 2600K but this system is 100% for gaming and the 2600K didnt provide much of a performance increase from the 2500K in that field. I also plan to overclock the hell out of the cpu and gpu.

Not bad.

You should take a file to where you cut out the window to clean up the edges a little bit. Same with the window.

The edges were sanded and buffed I skiped around on the pictures a bit. it looks very nice now. I sanded and painted the edges of the cut on the side panel and the window was sanded on the table sander.
