Default NVIDIA driver in Ubuntu 11.10 on e-machine

I just activated the NVIDIA driver in ubuntu 11.10, and now when I reboot, after the screen letting me select to enter BIOS or choose media to boot from, all I get is a black screen with "Input Not Support" floating around. I cannot enter BIOS or GRUB, but I can boot from a live cd. I couldn't figure out a way around it so I deleted Ubuntu and reinstalled, but I still have this problem. I had a perfectly good dual boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu, but hosed it tinkering around.

I figured it out. GRUB was there, I just couldn't see it. After a little while, Ubuntu loaded because it was the default OS. I installed Startup Manager, tweaked the GRUB resolution, and now everything is fine.
