Default New pars incomming

More SSD for the people and some RAM

Got 2 x OCZ SSD Vertex 3 MAX IOPS 2.5" 240GB incomming

and

2 x Corsair XMS3 1866MHz 8GB Vengeance CL9 - Im chaning the RAM beacuse the crap i have now is mixed and low speed DDR3 ram.

So i now have 2 x 128GB SSD and 2 x 240GB SSD

Any one here know if i should put them in raid 0? Or will i be limited by the onboard raid controller?

So, you would be looking at ~1GB/s of transfer speed R/W?
Try it on the onboard RAID, but I don't think even high end ones can deliver such speed...

Please try, bench and report.

+1 Even if TRIM gets to RAID 0 in the near future, I wouldn't bother with it. There is always that slim possibility that one drive goes bad and you loose the whole array.

I will hold off the Raid then

I would maybe like to do a raid 1 on the 128GB's - Do i need TRIM in raid 1 and is it supported?
