Hi,
I have an Asus U36J laptop with nVidia 310M. When I install the nVidia drivers 64bits from Ubuntu 11.10 and reboot, my computer hangs on booting. I did it from a clean new installation. The same if I use the latest nvidia drivers. Any help? Thanks |

Check your EFI/Bios settings to see if you have a switch to manually select one or the other graphics chip. You will have to use the setting to either pick the Intel or Nvidia chips. Optimus won't work at this point in time in Linux.

The BIOS is very simple, it has nothing to switch.
I give up Ubuntu, I gave a try because I wanted to get rid of Windows, but its not possible in my laptop. |
